The House

Heritage
Due to ancient chronicles, Ca´s Hereu was the origin of the village of Son Servera.

Jaume Cervera, one of king Jaime I escorts during the conquest of Mallorca, ordered in the 13th century the construction of the tower. The spiral staircase is a sample of its historical architecture. The houses and premises have been constructed until the 19th century and each extension has left testimony engraved in the lintels of the porch.

It has been restored respecting and recovering all its original architectonic elements: the large arches, the old olive press and the dairy cheese factory. The kitchen keeps its authentic character. Olive trees creating a delicate and quiet atmosphere surround the elegant façade.

Ca S´Hereu was an active farm until the decade of the seventieth of the 20th century. Its main activity has been cattle raising and cultivation of olives, almonds and carobs. In those years Ca S´Hereu had more than 100 employees working in the farm. At present time the descendants of Servera´s family are involved in rural tourism.
